SEO Tools
SEO tools on Page Utils help you write the small files and snippets crawlers actually read — a robots.txt and a meta description — without a site-audit upsell. Output is generated in the browser so you can paste it into your own origin.

Questions about seo tools
- Does the robots.txt maker crawl my site?
- No. You choose rules and copy the file. Nothing is fetched from your domain, and Page Utils does not inspect your live robots.txt. The maker is a drafting utility: pick a default policy, optionally block named AI crawlers, add a sitemap line if you want one, then paste the result at https://your-domain/robots.txt after you have reviewed it.
- Are the AI-crawler presets kept up to date?
- Presets cover widely used training and fetch user-agents such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, and others listed in the tool. Vendor names change. Always confirm tokens against each company’s current robots documentation before you deploy, and treat a preset as a starting draft rather than a guarantee that a bot will honour Disallow. We label training bots separately from user-initiated fetchers where the vendor splits them.
- Will these SEO tools replace Search Console?
- No. These are drafting utilities. Submit sitemaps and inspect coverage in Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools. A robots.txt or meta description you copy from Page Utils still has to live on your origin, and search engines may rewrite snippets or ignore crawler hints. Use this hub to write the file, then verify behaviour in the webmaster tools you already trust.
- How long should a meta description be?
- Aim for about 150 characters, with a typical display range up to around 160. Search engines may rewrite snippets based on the query and the device, so a character count is a draft target, not a guaranteed pixel width. The live maker trims pasted copy on a word boundary in the browser; it does not fetch your URL or call a writing model.
